Early Childhood Educator Pathway, STC

The Early Childhood Educator Pathway short-term certificate (STC) prepares students for careers in Early Care and Education and serves as an intermediate step toward the Associate in Applied Science degree. This 18 credit-hour STC builds upon the 9 credit-hour STC and satisfies Level 3 requirements in the Alabama Pathways Professional Development Lattice. Completion of this STC also meets the Alabama First Class Pre-K lead teacher qualification for individuals who already hold bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education or Special Education.
