During this course, students learn concepts of the theory of chemical services related to chemical hair texturing. Specific topics include the basics of chemistry and electricity, properties of the hair and scalp, and chemical texture services. Safety considerations are emphasized throughout this course. This course serves as a foundation for more advanced courses that provide in-depth instruction in these areas. This is a CORE course.
