Students awarded Federal Work-Study (FWS) must demonstrate financial need, as determined by federal guidelines under the Higher Education Act of 1965. Awards are based on the availability of funds.
Wallace Community College requires students participating in the Federal Work-Study program to be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours). Students may work between 10 and 19 hours per week while classes are in session. During scheduled breaks, students may be permitted to work additional hours in accordance with institutional policy.
To apply, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a Wallace Community College Federal Work-Study application.
