In accordance with federal regulations (34 CFR 668.61) under the Higher Education Act of 1965, if a student receives a Title IV overpayment, the College will return any required funds to the U.S. Department of Education on the student’s behalf.
As a result, the student may owe a balance to the College for the amount returned. The College will notify the student of the balance owed and the terms for repayment in accordance with institutional policies.
A student who owes a Title IV overpayment remains eligible for federal student aid if the overpayment is repaid in full or if satisfactory repayment arrangements are made with the U.S. Department of Education.
