Eligibility

To receive Title IV student financial assistance, a student must meet all of the following requirements:

  1. Have financial need, which is determined by evaluating the student aid index (SAI) and cost of attendance (COA)
  2. Have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent (such as a GED®), or meet Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) alternatives, including enrollment in an eligible Career Pathway Program
  3. Be admitted as a regular student in an eligible program of study leading to a degree or certificate
  4. Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  5. Complete all required certifications on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), including statements of educational purpose and regarding overpayment and default. Student Financial Aid may select students for verification due to conflicting information.
  6. Be unconditionally admitted to Wallace Community College (Institutional Policy)
  7. Be registered with the Selective Service, if required.
  8. Be a United States citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
