Federal regulations under the Higher Education Act of 1965 require that certain information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) be verified. Students selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education, or by the College, must provide documentation to confirm the accuracy of application information. This may include, but is not limited to, adjusted gross income, taxes paid, household size, untaxed income, and other data obtained from tax transcripts or additional documentation as requested by the Office of Financial Aid.
The College will not finalize a student’s Title IV eligibility or make disbursements beyond allowable limits until the verification process is completed. Failure to provide required documentation may result in the cancellation or adjustment of financial aid.
