As a student, you have the right to know the following information regarding financial aid at Wallace Community College:
- Financial aid programs that are available.
- Educational programs and services that are available.
- Estimated cost of attendance for programs.
- Application procedures for all financial aid programs, including deadlines.
- How financial aid recipients are selected.
- The terms and conditions of all financial aid awards.
- How the College determines your financial need.
- How and when you will receive your financial aid funds.
- Wallace Community College’s refund policy.
- The College’s Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4) policy and how withdrawals affect financial aid.
- Job descriptions and rate of pay for any position under the Federal Work-Study program.
- How the College determines whether you are making satisfactory academic progress and what happens if you are not.
- Procedures for appealing financial aid decisions, including satisfactory academic progress (SAP) appeals.
Student Responsibilities
As a student, you have the following responsibilities:
- Complete all applications accurately and on time.
- Read and understand all materials sent by the Office of Financial Aid and other agencies.
- Keep copies of all submitted documents.
- Know and comply with the rules governing the financial aid you receive.
- Provide all requested documentation and information.
- Register for courses required for your program of study and appropriate to your financial aid eligibility.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
- Use financial aid only for educational expenses related to attending Wallace Community College.
- Check your College email account regularly for financial aid information.
- Keep your contact information current with the College and other financial aid agencies.
- Inform the Office of Financial Aid of all colleges you are attending or have previously attended.
